Individual sessions are $100 for a standard session and $150 for EMDR. I believe cost should never be a barrier to getting support — a sliding scale is available for those who need it, so please don't hesitate to reach out and we can find something that works for you.
A free 15–20 minute intro call is offered before your first session, giving us a chance to connect and make sure we are a good fit before any commitment is made. While I am not able to direct bill insurance providers, I am happy to provide receipts for reimbursement — many extended health plans cover registered clinical counselling, so it is worth checking with your provider.
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. EMDR sessions may run slightly longer to allow adequate time for processing. If you have questions about session length or format, feel free to ask during your intro call.
Yes. A free 15–20 minute intro call is offered before your first session. It's a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we can connect, you can ask any questions you have, and we can get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit — before any commitment is made.
Yes. Everything shared in our sessions is strictly confidential. There are a small number of legal exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, but these will always be explained to you clearly at the start of our work together. Your privacy and trust are fundamental to this process.
Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision and fit matters enormously. The free intro call is a great place to start, it gives you a chance to get a feel for how I work and ask anything on your mind. If after our first session you feel we aren't the right match, I will do my best to help connect you with someone who is. Your wellbeing always comes first.
A Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) holds a Master's degree and is trained to provide therapy, support, and evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns. A psychologist holds a doctorate and is additionally licensed to conduct psychological assessments and provide diagnoses. Both are qualified mental health professionals, the right choice depends on what kind of support you are looking for.
The first session is mostly about getting to know you, what brought you here, what you are hoping for, and what feels most pressing right now. There is no expectation to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you, and together we begin to shape a path forward.
